4 - Wednesday - Welcome Back!! Students will be introduced to 7th Grade U.S. History .
5 - Thursday - NO SCHOOL
6 - Friday - Students will be introduced to 7th Grade U.S. History and receive their
syllabus. HOMEWORK - Get syllabus signed
9 - Monday -Students will be introduced to what current events are and what is expected. Any additional classroom questions and procedures will also be discussed. If time permits, we will play a classroom community building game. HOMEWORK - Current Event - Due Friday
10 - Tuesday- Students and teacher will dissect what it means for write a good essay.
11 - Wednesday - Student will work with teacher to write a short essay. This essay will be used to gauge what classes and individuals need to work on to be successful.
12 - Thursday - Students will take social studies pre-test. This helps the teacher to gauge what prior knowledge students bring to the class.
13 - Friday - Current event due! Students will be allowed extra time to finish their short essays they started in class on Wednesday. Once complete, students will be allowed to voluntarily share what they written. Teacher will show an example essay to allow students a visual as to what a full and complete essay looks like.
